Our second stay in Srinagar, post-Gulmarg, was at Padsha Pal Resorts during a winter retreat in February. Despite its distance from the city, the resort's proximity to nature and the Dara-Hayan Trek route made it a delightful choice. Just a 3-minute walk led us to a snow-covered mountain for a quick trek. Muzafar, our host, was incredibly helpful and took us on a short trip to explore the valley. Walking on icy and fluffy snow was a unique experience. While there are no nearby restaurants or shops, the resort offered delicious fresh meals. The provision of hot water and an electric blanket via a generator ensured comfort at night, though daytime electricity depended on government power. The rooftop offered breathtaking views in the evening and at night. A cozy retreat with warm hospitality!
